This is one of the many ancient Chinese jade pendents that I have collected. It is made of black jade and shows a human masks in the shape of a shield, on the front view.
This remind me of The Mystery Men From Sanxindui culture.
Below is the reverse view. It shows a cicada perching upon a shield. Take note the stains. These stains look like snake flakes.
